''Love'' - DT Layout for Maja Design May Inspiration

Hello my dear friends and happy Sunday to all!

Today, I'm up on the Maja Design blog and I want to share with you my latest layout made with papers from the ”Enjoying Outdoors” collections.

A soft romantic layout in purple and earth tones that was inspired by the beautiful photo which I found on Pinterest. And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

I used for my background the ”Flourishing” paper from the ”Enjoying Outdoors” collection. I also used some tags and a journaling card from the ''Tags & Journaling cards'' paper to mat my photo.

I primed my background with clear gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I colored my page using Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ”Tea Pot Purple” and ”Pegleg Pete Purple”.

I heat embossed the ”Fishing Net Bit” chipboard with ”Pop Rock Purple” Lindy’s embossing powder. The title was also embossed with the ”Angel Wings Mauve” powder. All the chipboards I used are 2crafty and the flowers and embellishments are Prima Marketing. The flair is from Cuts2luv.

To finish my page, I added a few shells in my clusters and some licorice glass beads with gel medium.

''ART'' - Mixed Media Canvas for Lindy's Stamp Gang DT with a VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hello mixed media’s fans! Today I'm up on the Lindy's Stamp Gang blog and I want to show you how I made a canvas using Embossing Powder and Starburst Sprays from Lindy’s.

To get started, I covered my canvas with white gesso.
When dried, I applied white crackle paste here and there and some light paste for extra texture.

I heat embossed the 2Crafty chipboard with Bratwurst Brown embossing powder and placed it on the canvas before the pastes dried.

I glued the small canvas upside down in the center of the bigger one and applied some more crackle paste in the edges. Then, I added some copper glass glitter and bronze micro beads and let it air dry overnight.

I used the sprays Bayou Boogie Gold, Cowabunga Copper, and Clam Bake Beige to add color to the canvas.

And then, I just had to add the metal embellishments and some more bronze micro beads to finish it.

Here are some close-ups so you can see the details.

I have also made a video tutorial with the procedure.

''Always'' - GD Layout for Cuts2luv May's Moodboard

Hello my dear friends!

Today, is my turn to share with you my layout for Cuts2luv May's challenge. I made a spring layout in pink and green tones totally inspired by the beautiful board.

This is the moodboard...

I used all the elements of the board... the sketch, the color palette, the title, a woman's photo, the watercolor background and the sequins.

Here are some close ups of my layout...

For my background I used the ”Pucker Up” paper from the ”Cotton Candy Pink” 7dots Studio collection.

I primed my background with white gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I colored my page by using Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ''Cotton Candy Pink'' and ''Merci Beaucoup Mint''. I also colored the two pink flowers with the ''Cotton Candy Pink'' spray to make them match with the moodboard colors.

I heat embossed the chipboard leaves with the ''Spring Leaf Chartreuse'' Lindy’s embossing powder. The title and the clock frame chippies were also embossed with the ''Gilded Burgundy Brass'' powder. All the chipboards I used are 2Crafty and the flowers are Prima Marketing.

To finish, I added some art stones with gel medium and made some splatters with white acrylic artists ink.

I used a flair from the ''Ladybug'' kit

I heat embossed the flourish chipboards and the title with the ''Spring Leaf Chartreuse'' Lindy's embossing powder. The flourish chipboards I used are 2Crafty, the title is 13arts and the flair is Cuts2luv. All the flowers are Prima Marketing.

To finish, I added some plum glass beads and made some splatters with white acrylic artist ink.
