''Listen to Your Heart'' - DT Layout for Maja Design February Inspiration

Hello dear friends!

I'm back tonight to share with you my latest layout made for my February inspiration at Maja Design blog.

I used papers from the gorgeous ''Vintage Spring Basics'' collection along with some of my favorite Dusty Attic chipboards and 49 and Market flowers which I placed around a beautiful photo I found on Pinterest. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ''unknown'' photographer.

I choose for my page the ''9th of April'' paper and made two layers on it using both sides of the ''11th of April'' paper from the gorgeous ''Denim & Friends'' collection. I started by applying a coat of clear gesso on the background and then I created texture with modeling paste and a stencil.

Made some stamping here and there and used a Lindy’s Gang spray to add color.

Next, I painted all the chipboards starting with the ''Foliage #2'' chippies which was painted with the Finnabair Silver Spoon acrylic paint. The pieces from the ''6×6 Archival Board - Treasure'' were also painted with the Finnabair Opal Magic Violet-Green paint.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and glass beads. The final touch was made with some splatters with white acrylic ink.

''Timeless'' - DT Layout for The Dusty Attic Blog February Moodboard

Hello lovelies!

Today, I'm back with a new layout for the Dusty Attic blog which was made with lots of beautiful chipboards and flowers on the earthy tones of grey, beige and brown inspired by our February moodboard.

I used a 7dots Studio paper for my background and I created texture with modeling paste and the Dusty Attic ''Damask #2'' Stencil. Then, I added color with a Lindy's spray and made some random stamping.

Next, I painted the chipboards from the ''Foliage #15'' with the Finnabair Rustic Brown acrylic paint.

The ''Heraldry Motif'' and the ''Mini Clock Faces'' were also painted the Finnabair Silver Spoon paint. As a title I choose the word Timeless from the ''Mini Tags #3 BLACK''.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and made splatters with white ink.

''Dreams'' - DT layout for 49 and Market February Inspiration

Hello there my dear friends!

Today, I'm up on the 49 and Market blog sharing my latest layout created with the gorgeous ”Captured Adventures” collection.

For my background, I used the ”Boldly Go” paper and some elements from the ”Captured Laser Cut Shapes” sheet. I created texture on the background with an icing paste and a stencil and after that I added color with an opal acrylic paint.

I made some random stamping using stamps from the ”Captured Adventure Stamp Set 2” and the ''Gabi's Butterflies Are Free Set''.

I have also added in a couple of my favorite Dusty Attic chippies and painted them with the same acrylic paint I used on my background.

I added around my photo some gorgeous flowers from the ''Blossom Blends - Bluebell'' set and used art stones and white glitter to highlight them even more.

''Follow Your Heart'' - DT Layout with VIDEO TUTORIAL for 7Dots Studio February Inspiration

Hello dear friends!

I'm back today to share with you my new layout with a video tutorial made for 7Dots Studio.

This time I got inspired by a beautiful and mysterious photo I found on Pinterest and the Garden Party collection was just perfect for it.

To create my background, I choose the Fairy Lights paper and I added texture with the Damask Mask from the Soulmates collection.

I made some stamping with stamps from the Thoughts Keeper, the Homegrown and the Northern Lights collections.

Then, it was the time to add layers of tags, die-cuts and stickers from the Garden Party collection along with all my other embellishments.

''So much Goodness'' - DT Altered Photo Frame for The Dusty Attic Blog

Hello dear friends!

I'm back today with my latest project for Dusty Attic, a beach inspired frame. I loved the soft and fresh color palette of last months mood board so much and the photo inspired me to create a sea themed project.

To start, I gave a coat of white gesso on the frame and then I applied Finnabair stone effect paste to create texture. I also made a pattern with modeling paste and a stencil on the background. Next, I added color with Finnabair acrylic paints.

I heat embossed the ''Port Holes'' and the ''Swirly Vine #2'' chipboards with the Stampendous Frantage Aged Teal embossing powder.

The chipboards from the ''Shells #3'', the ''Starfish #2'', the ''Sand Dollars'' and the title from the ''Mini Captions #10'' were also embossed with the Stampendous Frantage Aged Ivory powder.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and glass beads.

Altered Coin Bank - DT Decoration Project for Scrap N Pieces Blog

Γεια σας φίλοι μου!

Μια νέα χρονιά έχει ξεκινήσει στο Scraps N Pieces και η νέα πρόκληση εξακολουθεί να τρέχει από τον Ιανουάριο έως και το τέλος Φεβρουαρίου.

Τίποτα παλιό και φαινομενικά άχρηστο δεν το πετάμε... όλα μπορούν να γίνουν ένα νέο έργο τέχνης!

''FROM TRASH TO TREASURE''

Hello dear friends.

A new year has already been started and at Scraps N Pieces the new challenge is still running from January until the end of February.

For a crafter or an artist, no object is useless. Anything can be turned from trash to a work of art.

''FROM TRASH TO TREASURE''

Έτσι λοιπόν εμπνεύστηκα και εγώ την δική μου δημιουργία. Είχα κάπου ξεχασμένο έναν παλιό κουμπαρά... ξέρετε αυτούς που μας έδιναν κάποτε από το ταχυδρομείο. Αυτόν λοιπόν αποφάσισα να μεταμορφώσω και σας ομολογώ ότι ευχαριστήθηκα πολύ με το αποτέλεσμα.

For my creation, I used an old coin bank, that was a very popular item when we were kids and was distributed by the National Post Office. Every kid would get one as a gift from an aunt or uncle or from granpa and granma. I had hidden it away for many years and I’m so happy that I brought it out and altered it.

Αρχικά πέρασα όλη την επιφάνεια του κουμπαρά και τα διακοσμητικά στοιχεία που χρησιμοποίησα με black gesso.

First, I apllied a layer of black gesso all over the coin bank and the embellishments.

Έπειτα τα κόλλησα με heavy bo d y gel δημιουργώντας έτσι ένα cluster που ξεκινούσε από την πάνω δεξιά γωνία και απλώνονταν σχεδόν σε όλη την μπροστινή και λίγο στην πίσω επιφάνεια.

Then I glued all my decorative elements with heavy body gel and created a cluster, diagonally from the front side to the back.

Στα σημεία που είχαν μείνει ελεύθερα άπλωσα white crackle paste (την οποία έβαψα μετά με black gesso) και τελείωσα την σύνθεση μου κολλώντας art stones τα οποία είχα πρώτα ανακατέψει πάλι με black gesso και 3D Gloss Gel.

I applied white crackle paste in several spots which I, then, painted with black gesso. I completed my creation by gluing art stones that I had covered with black gesso and 3D Gloss Gel.

Αφού λοιπόν σταθεροποιήθηκαν όλα τα στοιχεία άρχισα να χρωματίζω με acrylic paints της Finnabair που δίνουν μία εξαιρετική λάμψη και τελειώνοντας τόνισα κάποιες λεπτομέρειες με τα waxes της Finnabair.

When everything was dry, I colored the whole object with Finnabair Acrylic Paints and accented some details with Finnabair waxes.
